Just kiddingWords. Lewy Finnegan The Hogwarts started from a day at North Point when Mitch Rawlins and
Jake Stone were out and one of them said, "Here come the Hogwarts",
and the people there that day were Davis Blackwell, George Humphreys, Tom
Purvis, James Purvis, Cam Hutchins, Chucky Carter, Hugh Forward (filmer), and
me. We all laughed at it and knew it would probably be a nickname to stay with
us for a while. When most of us went over east to compete in the Nationals we heard "Hogwarts"
a lot more from other people so we knew it was a nickname to stick. The name for
the big group of WA groms. Davis Blackwell is one of the funniest little kids you'll ever meet! He is known
as "Wedge Rat" because rumour has it that he lives in the rocks of
wedge to be the first one out every morning. It is fun to chill
with him and he is also a very talented bodyboarder who will definitely
make a career out of it if he keeps going how he is at the moment (state and
national champion for U/14 last year). Since late 2008 he has been making clips
on Vimeo called "Episodes" and with every episode the footage and
editing keeps getting better and better. He has just finished off "Episode 8" which is mostly at
Mandurah Wedge from last Thursday. It was really fun because the Pipe comp was
still on so there were no pros in town. Other people in the clip are Dylan
Brand, Jack Murphy, Mike Perkins, Karl Munda, Callum Layton, Troy C, and
Storm. Surfing with all the Hogwarts is sick because
everyone pushes each other to go bigger and do better which ends up helping us
to improve in the sport. We all hope you like Episode 8 and keep an eye out for
Episode 9 in the future! YEW!
